When I landed in Canada at the airport, the immigration officer said I would need to update my address in the online 'portal'. I didn't understand what portal he meant at the time. So I had submitted a webform to update my Canadian residence address so that I can receive my first PR card. Now it has been 30 days and I haven't got any update from IRCC over email regarding my webform, nor regarding the PR card.

I was hoping to find out what is the time-line to receive the first PR card, and also any information about the online 'portal' the officer was referring to would also be appreciated.

PS: I have attempted to contact IRCC on the helpline number, but the call keeps getting disconnected. I will keep trying to get in touch. In the meantime, any information regarding this first PR card issuance process is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi! Just so I can better understand your situation, did you receive your passport request while you were still in your home country, have your passport stamped, and receive your COPR before flying/ "landing" to Canada?

You are still well within normal range when it comes to receiving your PR card. There is a fairly wide range of processing time when it comes to getting your first PR card from 1-2 months to multiple months for some people. There is not a good tracking system for the process the card essentially shows up in the mail.
