Hi all,

I am applying under FSW1. My application was sent to Sydney on 27 Feb 2009, received on 4 Mar 2009. CIC has issued a letter on 16 Mar 2009 stating that my application has been transferred to Visa Office for further process. I received the letter on 1 Apr 2009. Now I start gathering all supporting documents.

I need a clarification whether fingerprint check is compulsary. I need to get police check from the Australian Federal Police because I have ever lived there for 2 years (studying). I see from the AFP's website that the request for fingerprint check is up to the applicant, not them. Does Canadian Visa Office need the applicant's finger check? Please advise.

Thanks.

Jon

They need the official police certificate from each country. Check this for info:

It seems that the DO want the fingerprints!
