Finding a job in Vancouver BC

Is there a reason you selected Vancouver. Would have suggested Toronto.

I have lived in Seattle before and have family there. Also, the weather!

True, though I'm in Enterprise Marketing, not an engineer/software guy. But yes, tech jobs across the board are far more in demand.

I am also an engineer in high tech product marketing. Not a pure MarComm professional.

That was a few years ago. I am moving from Asia now.

I am focusing on Vancouver as of now - thanks for the help - will start thinking of relocation if things dont start looking positive in a few weeks.

You might consider applying anyway. I know people who applied to jobs in Ottawa and then, once they got the job, negotiated a remote work policy where they would travel to Ottawa once every couple of months, but otherwise would live in the GTA. If you have reached the offer stage, a company/hiring manager is motivated to make it work.

Don't discount stuff just cause you want to live in Vancouver!

Yeah you need to apply in the GTA. I know that Amazon is hiring for marketing roles, so is Microsoft.

With respect, every Tom, Dick and Harry settles in Toronto. We need qualified people here, too.
Since OP lived in Seattle and has family in BC, makes sense to me.

Based on his experience and are of specialization his best job prospects are im Toronto. Had he said tech I would have said you can find some good opportunities in BC. Regularly encourage people on this forum to go where you can find and not insist on living in the GTA.
