Guys -

From reading through this forum and elsewhere I understand it is very difficult to find a job from outside Canada (though not impossible). My question is are there any agents (none crooked) /websites / people dedicated to this task. I mean connecting non Canadian job seekers with Employers who will be willing to take on a temp worker.

I have updated my resume on some of these sites (got from this form itself). Is it now a wait and watch? Is there anything I can do.

I'm in the same situation as you. What I do is call around asking if LMOs are available, and then apply if there are. Eventually, some people say yes. However, it takes a lot of time, effort and patience. Some employers can be very rude to foreign callers too. I've been successful in finding a few that were willing to hire me, but sadly all their LMOs were either rejected or didn't have as many positions on it as they applied for.

Are there not any 'agents' who can act as the liaison on my behalf in Canada ?

There ought to be something.

off topic : From what I gather the Cad gov: wants people to come via the studying > PGWP > PR route mainly. (least my research tell me that)

No - this isn't enough. If you really want a job in Canada the you will have to continually monitor these web sites for jobs you qualify for an apply to those jobs specifically. Simply uploading your resume and waiting won't get you a job. You will have to be much more proactive than that if you want any chance of securing something in Canada.

Thanks Scylla.

I don't mind scouring through all possible forums/websites/agences and all else in between.

Just trying to ascertain if it has been done successfully.

The other option is to learn French and then apply to Quebec. Not sure which is a tougher router - intense job search or learning French.

It has certainly been done successfully many times (not by me - but by others). It's not easy - but it can be done.

I don't know of any agencies who can assist. Any of the agencies I've worked with in Canada only accept those who are already legally entitled to work here. I would be careful with agencies who claim they can find you a job in Canada (too many scams). If at all possible you should try to find a job yourself. In additions to the web sites you mentioned, you should look at the web sites of individual companies you may be interested in working for. Many companies (especially the large ones) have their own job boards and application processes.
