Oh i thought you were an inland applicant, if your husband is here however and you applied outland, the fact he already is here on a visitor visa makes a big difference actually, they may even waive the interview as he has been here on a visa already and that clears him in a lot of ways :)
Dont agree that its different at all!! Yes he is here but ge may still require an interview. Outland is outland. I hope he doesnt need an interview. Should be hearing from mp this or next week. Nothing indicitive in either set of notes

Outland main differences are you can appeal and or apply a second time where as inland u cant
The fact he has travelled outside of DR is a huge help. That is well known. The only time you should need an interview is if you have red flags like age differences or getting engaged and married quick.

My mp got back to me and no interview is needed which is great. Just waiting on security to finish. What im saying is my outland process vs yours is absolutely no different - they still process the same way

Actually they do not. Me they have to complete the eligibility part before starting his background check, if i recall from your msg to me they have started your husband background already no? Also your husband lived 6 mths or more else where so his security will be different.

I had a friend in the same situation as you and it was much faster for her than it is for me. I kinda knew u would not need an interview ;)

Your MP contacted IRCC and they told you that no interview was needed? My MP told me that IRCC won't advise of interview in advance last month, but they will advise if you don't need an interview? The notes said eligibility was not in progress but GCKey account said eligibility was in progress since March and so did my MP. At what point do they know that you don't need an interview?

I should get my next set of notes next week ... but it seems that might not give me any clues about our interview status and I am not sure if my MP's office will be of any use, since I already tried to find out through them.

Thats in the report they gave me. Ill be ordering notes at the end of the month to see where my eligibilty and criminality is.

You should be close to getting a PPR if you don't need an interview. My bold prediction ... if we don't need an interview, the PPR might come by November??? (might be the same for you!) Should hopefully have a better idea after getting next set of notes!

Weird.
I know my MP did confirm my file really being in queue for interview.

What I wrote here were the exact words in the email I received from my MP's office, after I asked them to check if we were in queue for an interview. All I can do now is wait and see what the next set of notes say.

My MP's advise was not to reorder notes or contact them, cic, until i get my interview date as they are very busy. The less we bug them, the more time they can spend working on ppl's files.

Only ordering notes for the sake of figuring out what stage they are at with our ap and if it looks like there are indications of impending interview. I haven't seen my partner since January
So we are trying to figure out when and where to meet depending on whether he I'll get an interview. Also I think they did screw up not asking for our PCC sooner ... maybe it would not have happened if I had not seen it in the notes (the due date passed for 2 plus months when I asked them if they wanted it). So I'm glad I did it.

But I won't bother them by sending an email for status updates nor with another MP's inquiry.

I have waited a month for my MP to contact me back and still nothing. I have not ordered the notes yet and I don't think I will. I think by now I would know if we were in queue since we are close in the process to mangu ( I can't even type that without laughing! ) but that is just a guess.

I am in the same boat as you :(
My MP said ordering notes is the same as calling them or emailing them. But still do so, it is your rights to know.
