I have a couple of questions, I am currently residing in Egypt with my husband of over 3 years and our 2.5 year old daughter. I do not have any income, is this going to be a huge issue?? Do I need to go back to Canada and secure a job before we apply?? My mom & dad have offered us to stay with them until we decide where we want to live and secure jobs. Any help would be great, thank you!!!

Hey,

If you are a PR you have to be in Canada before you can sponsor but Canadian citizens can apply while being outside of Canada.
There isnt a income requirement to sponsor a spouse but you have to show how you plan to support your spouse once you guys are in Canada and it can be from what kind of jobs you can get (based on your field), course you are planning to take which will eventually lead to a job, you families offering to support you.

Hope that helps

I agree 100% with what draxz1289 said but I just want to add that it's important to explain in your application that you or your husband won't be on welfare when in Canada. I would definitely focus on the fact that your parents will be supporting you and if you can get them to include a letter to that effect, then that's even better.

Awesome, thanks very much for the help.
