Hello!

I am a INLAND family class sponsorship applicant and just received this email...

We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in WINNIPEG will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalisation of your permanent resident application.

I have a couple of questions i am hoping you can help me with please,

1. How long does it take to hear from the CIC office in Winnipeg for my appointment?
2. How do i hear from them...email, phone, letter by mail?
3. What can i expect this appointment to entail?
4. Does this email mean i am close to getting PR, what time frame am i looking at until i have finished everything and have my card?

My application status online has not changed from "Application Received" which is why i am a little confused.

Thank you SO much for your help in advance, i am secretly getting super excited but i will stay composed until i hear more!

The office should contact you fairly soon, although when is anyone's guess. They will contact you by e-mail if that is how they have been contacting you so far.
The landing appointment is mostly formalities. They will confirm some information and ask you to sign the COPR. At that point, you will be a PR. The card will come in the mail later. I am not sure what the current processing time is, so you would need to either check the CIC site or check out the inland threads to see what the most recent results have been.
