Hi,

Last week we got an email from Manila VO asking us if the applicant can land by July 11th (medical is valid up to July 11th). We replied back that the applicant is in Canada and can do the Virtual Landing/eCOPR route. Then Wednesday last week, we received the 1st Confirmation Portal email from Calgary VO asking for some information. Up to now, we are waiting for 2nd email with login credential.

PR Tracker, all shows Completed with COPR number and expiration date of July 11th. GCKEY shows a Final Decision update but still in the Submitted status on the Account homepage.

Now my questions is, my understanding is that applicant need to get the eCOPR before July 11th. In case we dont hear back from Calgary, lets say 3rd week of June, should we inform Manila VO that we haven't heard back from Calgary VO. And what will hapeen if we go beyond the July 11th deadline, aplicant needs to do another medical?

Thank you.

Only a guess that once the applicant is in Canada, they stop paying attention to the medical - any risk to the public is already baked in. (Q: did the applicant have to do medical for the TRV?)

So I suspect you'll just have to wait like anyone else and the deadline won't be an issue. Only a guess though.

Which gives you the 'in' to inquire of Manila VO whether this is now an issue - there's a small chance inquiring will speed things up (very small). More likely they'll just tell you it's not their file any more (meaning not really an issue) and you're in the queue for virtual landing.

Let others know what happens, first I've heard of such a case.

Applicant came over to Canada under TRV January 2022, and no medical required for obtaining the TRV, then we filed the PR application March 2022, did the Medical in July 2022, and then applied for extention of TRV status July 2022 and we inform them that applicant did medical for the PR application, and that satisfied the medical requirement for the extension.

Just getting anxious about the July 11th deadline and the inconsistent Calgary VO in issuing eCOPR.

We also send a webform to Manila VO if they can help in expediting the process.

What scares me is on the email from Manila VO, it states that if they approved the application and the applicant cannot land by July 11th, we need to start all over again.

When issued, your Confirmation of Permanent Residence form/s and, if applicable, your
permanent residence visa/s will be valid until 11 July 2023. This means that you and your
accompanying family members, if any, must arrive in Canada by this date. If you fail to enter
Canada before your permanent resident documents expire and you still wish to immigrate, you
may have to repeat the whole process by submitting a new application with new fees. Note that
all such applications will be assessed according to the immigration laws in force at the time of
receipt of the application. There is no guarantee a future application will be successful.

Can't tell you any more than I wrote above - I doubt they care - but understand your concern.

You could try your MP's office.
