I filed my application last November 2004 and per checking in the system of the embassy, processing started in January 2005. The last correspondence I received was the letter asking if I was still interested to go to Canada.

Hi mmmarquez..our application was sent october 2004 but got the first AOR last feb 2005. we also received that letter last 2009 if we are still interested with our application.since we are still interested we did not reply. lo and behold after a year we already received the 2nd AOR asking us to send the updated application form, proof of funds as well as the payment for right of permanent residence fee last feb 2010, we got the letter for medical exam and on May 2010 we received the medical request and just lately our passports were asked already.. Now we are waiting for the return of our passports..

i am wondering why you haven't received any updates since then since we are almost on the same timeline. but nonetheless, just be patient.. it will soon come...

I filed my application March 2005. If 1st AOR means the acknowledgment letter together with the receipt, it was April 2005, which is also indicated in my Ecas. No updates yet...
