hi! question lang po. let's say you are already eligible to take the CRPNE tapos pumunta ka sa canada with a student visa lang to take the review. pano kung nakapasa ka, may kukuha ba sayong employer at pano yung license mo? kasi based sa nababasa ko, hindi ibibigay sau yung license unless pr ka na.

and another question, may alam ba kayong merong program na review for international nurses? kagaya nung sa omni college sa vancouver? meron kasi consultancy dito sa pinas na my program na ganon sa toronto kaso di mo malalaman yung name nung school unless magsasign-up ka sa kanila. mas mababa kasi yung tuition sa toronto compared don sa omni.

@ rave21lala

thats true, they wont give you your licence if you are not a PR of canada, kasi you will give them a copy of your citizenship dito sa canada.. and same as working, tinitignan din ang status mo dito sa canada..

there are centers like cre4nurses na tumutulong sa mga internationally educated nurses

@KMAEP

thanx for the reply. so ibig sabihin wala rin mangyayari kahit na makapasa ka sa exam kung hindi ka naman pr dyan? malamang uuwi rin after. pano po yung sinasabi nila na pwede ka bigyan ng temporary license?

@ rave21lala

you can still take the exam if you want, then wait mo nalang until PR ka na... temporary licence is for 6 months before mag expire yun dapat nai pass mo na ang licensure, jurisprudence atc....
well if may assurance naman na magiging PR ka din dito then just take the exam then wait nalang hanggang mag land ka as PR..

Kung hindi ka PR, then you managed to find an employer then you can apply for a work permit. From what I remember kasi you can pass either a copy of your PR card, citizenship card or a valid immigration document (which can be the work permit). Ako kasi live-in caregiver, I'm qualified to apply for an open work permit on July, kaya pag nakuha ko yun, yun yung ipapasa ko sa CNO.

Yup, as long as you have a valid open permit, you can pass a copy of that to the CNO instead of the PR card.

Hi! You can apply for both RN/RPN Category just like others did. But you should consider one of their requirements which is the evidence of safe nursing practice ( either educational background or work experience ), it must be within the last 3yrs.
Since you don't have a work experience, your evidence of safe nursing practice would only be valid until 2014. If I'm not mistaken, kung hindi mo matapos yung registration before that time, they might require you to take some courses. Under the RPN category in my experience, after you completed the requirements for assessment, they would send you the result after around 3 months. While in RN category, it might take a year (accdg. to my friend who applied for it). Siguro estimate mo rin yung time it would take for you to complete the application until registration. Good luck to you.

Thanks pinay-saffron. That's what other people told me too,to go for RN and RPN assessment. :) Sana umabot ako sa 2014, coz my friends told me na more than a year ang processing for RN. :/
