hi i have a question with regards abt filing my PR..coz im actually married or in a common law but im using single status which im using my last name.i wanna include my husbands name in my list of family members to be sponsored.but my question is do i have change my name or my status inorder for me to include his name before i submit my application?..any1 can help me please thnx

If you are married or in a common law relationship, you must include your partner on your application. You do not have to have the same last name. Not including your partner would be considered fraud by immigration and would cause you to not be able to sponsor your partner in the future and may even cause you to lose your own PR.

If you have already applied while you were single, you must update your information with CHC that you have gotten married or do now qualify as common law married.

hi thnx for your time. sorry i didnt get CHC mean?..eversince i never use common law status i only use as a single even my tax..is there any paper works to accomplish regarding my status before filing or il just put husbands name and thats it?

CHC = Canadian High Commission which is your visa office processing your case.

Canadian immigration really does not care if you always file your taxes as single. In many countries there is no such thing as a common law marriage and in some countries you may be allowed to file your taxes as single even if you are married. The Canada immigration rules are clear and that is that if you are in a common law relationship or married, you must include your partner in your application. If you do not, they consider it fraud and you risk your own PR as well as are barred from ever sponsoring this person in the future.

When you are declaring a common law partnership at the time of your application, there is a declaration form you can fill out and send with the other forms.

They should only pay you the wages and overtime they owe you as well as if you have vacation saved up that you have not taken, they can either make you take it or pay you for it.

Did you lie to them about being married from the start or did you get married after your first entry? If it is the former, I don't know why you would do such a thing, it's misrepresentation and you could get in trouble for it. If it is the latter, then they might see it as a slip up to delay informing them. I do not know how bad that is but you do need to inform them if you got married because if you are going to apply for PR, you need to include him on your PR application.

hi, I'm a live in caregiver and and im gonna finish my contract in current employer. my question is, is my employer will pay me for the 10 days holidays and 3 days sick leave? Because i saw in my LMO it says here 10 days paid holidays and 3 days paid sick leave.. Anyone can question my question please.thnx

They will have to pay you the 10 days of holidays if you didn't take it. Sick days are usually not paid out unless you get sick.
