Hi everyone,

From what I have been seeing on CIC sites that a "permanent -full time job offer" is required/mandatory for PNP, Fedral or CEC.

Below is my current status in Canada:

1. I currently reside in Saskatchewan
2. Have 3 years of work permit. [valid until 2017]
3. Working full-time for an IT company with a field related job since 9 months.
4. Hourly wage 25+
5. Have 2 years of experience in same field back from India.
5. Have been a Saskatchewan student for a year.
6. The job is an open contract. [There is no specified term. I "may" get hired as a permanent employee after a year. That's what they say ""]

So should I look for another permanent job or should I go ahead and file on basis of my work experience?
Do they check credit history as well ??

Any suggestions/advice ?? :(

I filed for SINP - Express Entry on Jan 4, 2016. But still not in process. The application has been received and its showing file number as well. The processing time mentioned on the website says 3 months. Did anyone applied for SINP Express Entry in Jan 2016 and got approved or any other updates??

Please reply guys. :'( Thanks.

I recommend you to goto SINP office in Regina and talk to them if You are in Regina. I heard about some people filled SINP under student category on contract job.

what is meant by open contract? does it have a definite date of termination? If not, you should be ok.

Yes. You're right. There is no termination date mentioned. I can work until they want me. No employee benefits. Just a contractor.

Well I already filed in Jan 2016, but its still not in process. It shows my file number and says "Application Received", but still not in process or no other updates.

Do you have Job approval letter? you should be ok if you do.

No, I don't. I have a job offer letter from the employer, but not a SINP Job approval letter. I basically filed for "Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category" on basis of my one year of work experience in Regina. The category doesn't requires you to have a permanent full time job or SINP job approval. My concern is how long do I have to wait for any decision?

Oh I thought you are in Job offer stream. Then you'll have no problem with a contractor work. SINP-EE stream doesn't even require job offer to qualify.

Tho SINP-EE has been slow so be patient. I think there's a thread for it on this forum?

May be I will wait for 90 days to complete, then I will contact them. Thanks mf4361 and hopeful.ad

Well this was slow. But finally got my SINP nomination after 5 months without job offer. :)
