Hi Garian4u

Thanks you very much and I reciprocate the same on receipt of your AOR from CIO on 30.11.2009.
Please pray for me to Almighty for my success in IELTS test on 09.01.2010. Your prayers may be God"s blessing upon me.

Regards,

Sunandan Kumar, do not worry much about IELTS. Only half a day's preparation is good enough. You can ask for some quick tips from Pasi and others, who took the exam recently.

uys

i have leaved one time gap in personal history of 5 months

i was unemplyed at that time(was looking for job after completion of studies)

what should i do now ?

any idea?

canpr, yes you can tick 16pts for your IELTS if you think you can achieve it (or even not or you think at least close to 16pts). that's what i did. i give myself 16pts for this and take IELTS after a month. but make sure you get a back-up points "just in case." i just noted on my application that im taking the IELTS on a certain date. hope this helps. cheers

Hi Canpr,

You need not to submit IELTS score for filing initial application to Nova Scotia. You have to submit the same at your Visa Office but a certification required from your employer that your are communicating in english language while performing your job duties. On receipt of your approval from CIO, Nova Scotia, final determination of case is being assessed by Visa office on the basis of point based system.

Regards,

NZ2CA and Sunandan, thank you so much for your prompt response. Just so you know I just took my IELTS yesterday. It wasn't really bad. Afterall my scores will conclude if it was easy or tough for me. I am expecting my results in couple weeks. If I get good results, I can attach that when I submit my complete application set to Buffalo. But, here is my problem. When I sent the initial application to CIO, NS, I claimed I am proficient in English and the next question was, am I going to submit any proof of proficiency and I said 'NO'. Thinking about this later, I have started worrying. Because, without 16 points for language proficiency, I wouldn't score 67. Here is my question to you guys. Would they approve my application based on what I claimed (even though I said no to IELTS score during the initial application) and along with the AOR would they insist saying that I will have to submit the IELTS score to Buffalo or do you think they would reject my application because, I said no to IELTS score during initial application (even though I have appeared for IELTS, now). To avoid this confusion, is there any way to communicate to the CIO that I have my IELTS score now? Your suggestions and opinions are much appreciated.

Thank you.

No. Your application to CIO without IELTS is fine however once you are given the AOR, you will be expected to prove your use of English.

Barsindoo is right. you need to write to CIO why you think you are high proficient in english without taking an IELTS exam.

Thanks again barsindoo and NZ2CA. But NZ2CA, do I have to write to CIO or to the visa office when I submit my complete application? If it is to the visa office, I don't have to explain them because, I will be getting my IELTS score by then. Please clarify.

Thank you.

oopss yep, to the visa office.

whew! if you decide to prove your english ability through IELTS it's fine. no need to explain. but just some clarification that im not sure, maybe seniors or some sept filers can help you, (if IELTS is considered) is that, if you have some updates in the previous application form that you send to CIO, you need to provide a letter what the changes are to your visa office. your first application, you said, you tick NO for IELTS.

Yes NZ2CA, you are correct. I am aware of that. I will have to send a letter of explanation describing changes between the application sent to the CIO and the application I will be sending to the local visa office.

Thank you.
