It was the similar situation last year too... but, it started moving sometime in september... I think mid september...

There is one point though, last year CHC,ND received more than 11,000 applications for student visa but, this year they were to accept maximum 7000 applications only. I believe we should start hearing good news in a couple of weeks.

may your words fall true. this uncertain wait is killing everybody.

Thanks drsamitgrover, mayankpandaya and all.

Generally,Visa is valid for one year from the date of your medicals. My case also the same. I need to enter once before expiration of visa.

CONGRATULATIONS Delhi Indian. It is really reassuring to see Pre-June applicants moving ahead in the line.

I just wanted to know, after you get the VISA, how much time do you get, during which you need to go to Canada? That is, is there a time limit, after which the PR VISA expires if you delay going to Canada for some reason?

Anyone got a reply of CSQ from CHC, ND in recent days?

I think they changed the format of their standard reply.

so now what do they reply to the applicants ?

I heard they are only going to process files submitted before march 2010 in this calendar year.

This reply was sent to an applicant who applied from Buffalo, NY.

I think they are talking about file transfer date because of following reasons.

- All the full documents submitted before march 2010 to local VO is already processed long back. (For e.g., in our thread prsh_patel whose docs submission date is 31 March 2010 and got visa in July 2010 last year).

- If they are talking about march 2010 to CIO then the docs submission date could be upto 31 July 2010 as they give 120 days of time. This is unlikely to happen as 70% of pre june 2010 applicants will be covered.

- If they are talking about upto march 2010 file xfer date then, very few applicants are left to process till this date and since we are almost in the last quarter of calendar year, this is possible for them to process as no. would be less.

I think it is too early to predict anything at this moment. This is the reason I want know the latest format of reply of CSQ.

Got my CAIPS report.
Nothing there.

BFD was 11.07.11

Advised to contact them after 3-4 months to see any further changes, as they don't expect to see any change in the next 3-4 months.

Frustration all around.

Taraks ,
Are they giving any timelines for processing apart from the standard time shown on cic site.

They never give estimated timeline in CSQ reply. You have to refer CIC website for that.

The replies are standard only but they vary from case to case.
