File Transfer Details

Hello All,

I applied for FSW from CHC New Delhi and have submitted my full documents at New Delhi.

Now waiting for Medicals and later then request for passport and RPRF.

At this stage I am in Canada already in Work Permit and I want to know if I can do this.

Once I do the Medicals here in Toronto, can I ask for File Transfer to Buffalo so that I can do my stamping here from Canada itself instead of going to India only for this.

If this can be done what are the pros and cons and how long does it take to do file transfer.

You do not have to go to india , u only have to send ur passport across.

Thanks Shibuyu.......But sending passport by post / courier or sending through someone is illegal as per Indian Law.

Thats the reason I am worried.

as per previous posts on file transfers across visa offices is a hassle and time consuming.. also i read one of Qorax post some time back (not able to recollect when) that visa offices are not intended to transfer the applications on your request.

if i would you, i will go to India, get passport stamped and come back.. it will be a matter of 1500$ and a month vacation time...

also ND is way too fast than Buffalo... rest your choice..

File transfer is not possible at this stage. As people suggested send your passport with some one. I know its not permitted as per Indian Law but that is the easiest option you have got.

Dear Laxmi

File transfer is not an option. You need to plan at least 6 weeks in India to get the Visa stamped

Also I was waiting to hear ack from you on my e-mail

I had already responded to your email on next day itself.

Did you check your spam folder too....like CIC mails goes to Spam looks like mine also has gone to spam.
