I'm trying to obtain the "Police Certificate" potion of my papers. I just went to fieldprint.com today and they took my finger prints. Within a few minutes I had my "results" which was a PDF that starts out with "Civil Applicant Response" and goes on to say I have a clear record.

Can I use this PDF (print it out)? Or do I need to send this elsewhere, or go somewhere else to complete the process?

I hate to bump a thread, but I don't really know what to do from here. I have a PDF that says my record is clean. My fingerprints were taken and I assume they were sent to the FBI database? But I don't have an official police certificate.

I am not sure as to the answer to this yet. I inquired about using the FBI Channelers back when I applied and no one was certain. The CIC website doesn't mention it specifically so I did it the old fashioned way and mailed in my fingerprints to the FBI and got back a letter saying I had no history. I think others on the forum have used the Channeler method so hopefully someone will have a sold answer for you.

I'm pretty sure that I can remember reading somewhere (can't remember if it was the guide, the checklist or somewhere else) that the police certificate has to be an official and original certificate. You can't even photocopy the letter the FBI sends and send the copy in. If the PDF you have is not even FROM the FBI, I wouldn't take the chance personally.

Again, I'm not even 100% sure if I'm even correctly remembering what I think I read and maybe someone has a more factual answer, but I would be very wary about sending in a police certificate that isn't directly from the FBI.

Can you please share what happened with your case? Did they accept FieldPrint results or did you have to get the 16-18 week manual search done through FBI?

CIC won't accept field print Results. It takes 6 to 8 weeks for FBI response - FYI I am in usa- CIC accepts only official FBI certificate.
