Hi all, I am sponsoring my wife and her dependent child (7yo). I struggle with all these forms its very confusing. I have lots of questions but just a few for now lol.

My wife also has one older girl 23 and at this time no plans to come to Canada but in the future one never knows. Does she need to be included in any of these forms? Does she need background and medical checks if she might come at a later date?

for the fees:
sponsor, (me) 75
principal applicant (wife) 475
spouse (wife again? seems redundant) 550
Family member... (7yo) dependent child 150

total fees 1250?
does this seem correct?

If your wife's 23-year-old daughter is not coming with her at this time, then she does not need a background or medical check right now. Just list her in the section where it asks for names of family members. That's all you need to do. If she eventually does want to come to Canada, she will need a separate application.

It is very confusing. I can't help you with the fees, because I was very confused by them also, and don't want to steer your wrong.

Your wife's older child cannot be included in the app as a dependent and does not need to have a medical or police checks.

The correct fees:

Sponsorship application $75
Principal applicant fee $475
Right of Permanent Residence Fee $490
Dependent child $150

Total $1190

They have met via skype video chat, does this count or only a physical meeting?
