hI all

I was going through the payment process and there seems to be 2 options available...

with option one i can pay the fees online and include the receipt while with option 2 i could provide my credit card number....

which one is better...is option 2 better for tracking that they have received and acknowledged the application..

cheers

Yeah, as you said with option two you can track that application check is done & soon you'll get your AOR.
But I did online payment as it was very easy & will reduce a delay of around 1 week in payment processing involved in second option.

Online is better - then it's paid and you have no issues. If you use CC and have any issues (lost, stolen, payment declined etc) then your application will be returned. Online is the way forward.

First one is better & secure.
If in any case you lose your credit card or it may be cancelled by some reason than your application will be returned by them. Its just the case when you be Unlucky sometime.

thanks a lot!! online it is !!

Hi, i was trying to pay the fee for me and my husband under CEC (total $1,100). However, I can't figure out where or which category i should go.
Under the "Online Payment" website, I did not see "CEC", so which category I should choose to pay via online?

Please advise.
Thanks.

First, select 'Permanent Residence' from the drop-down menu, then click 'go' and it will bring you to the PR sub-categories, including CEC.

I click "pay my fee online" then i follow the instructions. But i see this under "Immigration"
There is no CEC for me to choose.

Application fees for permanent residence in Canada
Family Class (spouse or common-law partner, parents, grandparents, adopted children and other member of family)
Quebec Skilled Workers
Provincial Nominee
Protected Person in Canada
Live-in Caregiver
Humanitarian and Compassionate
Spouse and Common-Law Partner in Canada Class
Permit Holder’s Class

Are you on this page?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

If so, then just follow what I posted before. Canadian Experience Class is the first item on the list after you have chosen 'Permanent Residence' and clicked the Go button. Hope this works for you.

I was gonna suggest the same. I did mine with certified draft....hoping to see when they withdraw, but the bank informed me that there is a lag in the system from the time they withdraw and when its posted. So, that was absolutely useless.

On the other hand, giving your credit card info brings up the question...what happens if something goes wrong with your credit card before they get to your file (stolen, compromised, bank decides to change the acct). There have been a couple of cases on here.

During the first stage, if they dont receive payment then, they return your file. So, its better to just do it online and your are done. Good choice! :)
