Hi ,
I just checked my Ecas and mine went to "In Process " as well.

We received your application for permanent residence on December 31, 2014.
We started processing your application on June 29, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

Exactly the same time as yours.

I got the same email too. For sure, I sent them all original police certificates from my home country and all countries I've been >= 6 months, except Canada.

2 weeks ago, I got request for RPRF, but never RCMP.

But as they said in the email: "This is regarding your application for permanent residence in Canada which is now in queue to be reviewed by a visa officer....If you have already submitted your police certificates, do not apply for or submit new documents. We will contact you once your application has been reviewed by a visa officer.", I think we just need to wait???

Is there anyone called CIC regarding that? So confused :(

I actually got the same exact email just now.
That's weird. I submitted my PC with my application as well, not from Canada but from my home country. Don't know why they are asking again.
I'll try to get another one again.
I noticed that this didn't specify PC from all countries except Canada, like it did in the Federal app guidelines.
Do you know if we need to submit the Canadian PC as well?

Btw I recently got request for RCMP background check using fingerprints and also request for RPRF a few weeks ago, so the timing of this seems a bit weird. I thought RPRF was the last thing they requested before PPR/COPR.
Now I'm confused about how close I am to the completion of the process.

Please note that you must submit original police certificates for you and any accompanying dependents for all countries where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18.

If you are currently in possession of any police certificates, which were not submitted with your original application, please submit them to our office now.

If you have already submitted your police certificates, do not apply for or submit new documents. We will contact you once your application has been reviewed by a visa officer."

Is that an automatic thing? Does everyone get it? Because I am very sure that I attached my PC to my application. But now the more I think about it the more concerned I get. Maybe it got lost?!

So confusing!
Not sure if I should or shouldn't send new PC or not.
I just called CIC and explained this to a nice lady there. She told me that they don't have any set procedure for this and told me if she were in my place she would reply to that email from Ottawa office, attach copies of the PC I sent with my app and ask them if I need to send new ones or not.
I think this makes sense, this is what I will do.

Because it clearly states in the email that if you have already submitted them, don't submit again.

I had already submitted original PCs from my home country with my app for myself and my wife and their issue date was within three months of submitting the application.
But I never submitted a PC from Canada since they never asked for it. Although I've been in Canada for the last few years.
Just to confirm, a PC from Canada is not required right?

Hello guys,

Thank God, I finally received my PPR!! I'm so excited! :D :D I received the email at 7.14 pm yesterday night!
I know it's extremely frustrating for the PPR, I had to wait 5 weeks since DM. I hope you all get it very very soon.

I'm going to Canada Post in a while to mail my passport. I'll keep you updated when I get it back.

Thanks for everyone for showing their support and for sharing this journey :)

I got it in 5 days. Some people a few weeks, others a month or two. Those things are very random and unfortunately we can never predict them. I mean, even after DM, and supposedly the processing being done, there's still randomness in that phase where, instead, there should be no randomness at all!

The good thing for sure is that your file is moving so you can get a DM as soon as next week. This is what keeps the process full of suspense, I guess CIC does it on purpose to keep us entertained :p :p

I got it! My CoPR was in the mail today!!!

I am ecstatic :p

Will cross the border (and back) this weekend :)

Can you guys give me some advice on what to bring? I know I will need my passport, CSQ, CoPR and work permit.
Will I need proof of address, funding, etc?

This forum and thread has been great, I wanna thank you all! Sharing here has helped with my impatience but now I am on of the lucky ones! :-*
