federal Timelines share for QSW sydney applicants - file CPP-Ottawa

Hi Guys,
I got my CSQ on Aug. 2014 through PEQ program in Canada. I sent my application on Sept. 22, 2014 and it showed arrival in the Sydney office on Sept. 25, 2014. I thought I could get my AOR two months later but I was wrong. It has been more than 4 months since then and I haven't received anything, no AOR no medical request. I am quite worried about it.
Does anyone have the same situation as me??? Plz help~~~

Hello

I can just say you are not alone. I know two other people they have been waiting for AOR+MED for more than 100 days and not received them yet. This is extremely unusual compared to last years applicants. But the bright side is that maybe many others are like you. But still suggest calling CIC call centre and let them know.

I think these are all side effects of new "express entry" system for Canada immigration making delays in processing AOR.

Good to know, man. I think the only thing I can do is wait... hope they did not lose my application documents.

Suryak86, I've had the same suspicion: I applied from the US and chose my home country's VO since it's faster than Ottawa's. However when I got my GCMS notes they said Primary office: CIO and Secondary Office: CPC-O.

That is pretty dissapointing. Why would they not transfer it to your home country's VO if it is faster. I know they transfer the FSW applications to your home country VO but I dont know why they would not do that with QSW's.

The FSW applications to my home country VO are flying while we are sitting here waiting for CP-O to do something.

I think it has something to do with the december holidays and the staff thinning out at CIC Sydney. you should hopefully hear something by February.

Hey! I also applied early October 2014 and I have yet to hear from them. Don't worry, you're not the only one. Keep me posted if you receive your AOR/Medical; then I'll know mine is on it's way

Hi, I have a question, my profile changed to in process from june 2013 and last month they sent my document to ottawa, when I contact them, they say my document still in background check. Is it possible that sometimes they do second background check in ottawa?

@xris : I am pretty sure it should be within the next 30 days.
@smartman: Background checks are the big black box of an other wise transparent process. We cannot really tell if they do a second background check. By the way, can you share your timeline with us.

Aug 2013: application received
October 2013: Med received
Jan 2014: Police Certificate wanted
June 2014: In process

I have applied as PEQ program, I have sent my documents to Sydney but recently they sent it to Ottawa.
