federal Timelines share for QSW sydney applicants - file CPP-Ottawa

Hi guys, I had a question.
I got my GCMS notes for my QSW application at CPC-Ottawa, which I sent in November 2014. Its a long document where they use their own terms and codes so trying to understand and make sense of it.

It has a section where someone made notes after reviewing the application and documents I submitted.
In those notes they've mentioned that "applicant does not hold valid status in Canada, Status until: 2015/04/25" that's the date of expiry of my last TRV.

I was on post graduate work permit before, I got a new open work permit for one year recently and I got my TRV renewed up to next year as well.
Should I send an email to CPC-Ottawa with a copy of my new work permit and TRV? I thought since CIC is the one who issued the work permit and TRV, they would have access to all my visas work permits and I don't need to update them myself

Also, I got a generic email back in July requesting for PCs but it also said that if you've already sent them, don't send new ones. Since I already sent mine with my app back in Nov 2014, I didn't send new ones.
In the notes they mentioned:



I'm not sure if we have to update them or not. I also renewed my work permit in May this year after my previous WP expired. I asked my lawyer if I need to update CIC, and his reply was in negative. So, I haven't sent them my new WP.

Apart from the valid status comment, any idea how further in the pipeline your application is? Is it almost finalized? Btw I'm also a November 2014 applicant.


Police Certificates: - Pakistan: No reportable trace.
Does this mean they have my PCs and everything is good with them?

From the GCMS notes I got yesterday, it says the App is In progress. Although my Ecas still only says "App received".
It says Medical passed, Criminality in progress and Security not started.

But surprisingly, the last update on my app was on 10th July, so looks like no one really worked on it since July 10th, which is crazy.
The notes were generated on August 20th, so not sure what's going on right now.

Btw I got Medical in March, RCMP fingerprints and RPRF in June.
I got a generic request for Police Certificates in July, which I didn't send since I already sent them with my app.
After that, nothing.

Thank you for letting me know about the Work Permit, if anyone can answer me about my Police Certificate question, I would appreciate that too.

We have almost the same timeline. I also received Medical in March, RPRF in June(didn't get the RCMP fingerprints request though). That generic request for PCC was sent to almost everyone including me. I don't recall anyone sending the PCC again based on that generic request.

Looking at your GCMS, it explains why no QSW applicant has gotten any PPR or any further update since last 6 to 8 weeks. Most probably, they haven't touched our application since then.

My eCas changed to "In Process" on September 12 and this morning they corrected the missing hyphen in my last name. So that means they are sort of working on my file at least...

AOR Received..: 13th August 2015
Med's Request.: still waiting

Its almost 1.5 month, my online status shows "In Process" and I haven't received a medical request yet.

Can anyone please tell me if this is normal due to slow processing? Anyone waiting for more than a month for medical request after AOR?

It's so quiet these days. I suggest the quota for this year is used up and we'll have to wait till next year for ppr... ???

There is no quota if you have received your QSW and are waiting for your PR.

That's tough, 18 months.
Congrats that its finally over!

I checked my application today and finally it said "In process". Which gives me some hint that its moving forward.
I applied in November 2014.
