Osiabdelkader,
I see on your timeline that they asked for your Police certificates in April 2014. Had you not submitted them before? Or had you already submitted them and they expired?
I'm asking because I submitted my Police certificates with my application but now they're coming up on a year and it seems that both the FBI and my home country's certificates take around 3 months to process(!), so I'm trying to gauge how likely it is that they will ask for new ones if more than a year passes on the old ones. If so then maybe I should pre-order new ones now just to be ready and potentially save some time.

I understand there is no exact answer to my question but if anyone had a relevant experience and they can share, that would be great. Thanks!

hi guys, I just want to ask what is the current status for CSQ and QSW (PR application)? How long does it take to process? My husband and I are still waiting for work permit (mine is owp) and as per HR we could go there to canada by end of feb or march if the work permit will be approve. We are planning to apply immediately for CSQ then PR once we get there.

What are the chances we could get approved CSQ? My husband got approved lmia and he is under international mobility program. Thanks in advance for those who can answer.

My ecas is still showing In process
They did ask me for a police certificate from my country and the FBI clearance, and I sent them a month after.
If you think it will take longer to get them, send them an email to let them know and they should understand. If they don't answer, I would still send the FBI clearance and join a paper stating the problem you faced and join a copy of a receipt showing that you submitted a request for a police certificate from your homecountry.

If this can help anybody waiting for PPR:

My ecase just changed today to decision made:

We started processing your application on April 2, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Hello everyone

A question: I have a friend. She has received her CSQ with regular program (under "foreign student in Quebec" sub-category). Because her CSQ is regualr (not PEQ), she wants to know if she is able to apply for CAQ (to start a new study program) after getting CSQ, while her PR application is under process by CIC? What will be the action from Immigration Quebec? Do they issue new CAQ and keep CSQ or they refuse one of them (like PEQ)? I'll appreciate if you may share your experience if you had similar case.

Thanks

I think your friend has to pick one between CSQ and CAQ. It doesn't matter you were under FSW or PEQ. This is why:

The CSQ application is part of a process of permanent immigration as a skilled worker. The CSQ was issued to you based specifically on your capacity and your intention to enter the Québec labour market upon completion of your study program. This assumes therefore that you will not start new full-time studies in the immediate future. :(

Hi guys,

I have a question.

What's the difference between the status update you get on eCAS saying that processing for your application has started on a certain date and when you receive an email that your application has been transferred to Ottawa?

My roommate applied in October 2013, had his "in process" status update back in April 2014 and received today an email saying that his application has been transferred to the Ottawa office.

I thought both steps are equivalent (and, thus, happen at the same time). Apparently not?

Thanks.

I have been looking at this post for a year and finally decide to say sth there :)

I got the same email today saying my case is transferred to CIC-Ottawa and requesting updates on my personal information.

I submitted my application on in the mid of DEC, 2013 and it turns to in process in the end of July, 2014

This is a very formal email that may not have a significant impact on the whole processing time on one's file. It does not necessarily mean the the process of his application has just started.
I had a friend. He had almost the similar case, last year. Months after he went through "in process" he received the same email saying a transfer to Ottawa-CPP and asking for an update to personal and address history. The interesting thing was that he received PPR almost a week after he updated his personal and address information.

I think this is a good sign and he can probably receive some good news in few weeks (if not days). So I wish him luck.
