I have the option to apply for PR as a Federal Skill Worker (Hold a PhD from and American Ivy League institution), but also I am married to a Canadian citizen ( a PhD student in US).... so I could also apply for PR if my husband sponsors me?

We both live in the US (we are both international students). I will finish my degree in two months, and i am applying for jobs in Canada and US. Which way would it be less painful to apply for PR in Canada?

thanks!

Spousal sponsorship will likely be less painful. However to be approved, your spouse will have to demonstrate that you plan on relocating to Canada to live here once your PR visa has been approved.

Based on the information you have provided, it's not clear that you qualify to apply for FSW (holding a PhD isn't sufficient on its own to qualify). What is your occupation? Do you have at least one year of full time work experience in that occupation?
