I am FSW PR and completed landing formalities in Toronto a few months back. Do i need to apply for a CSQ for working in montreal ?
If it is not required, could you please let me know of any other formalities that need to be completed before i seek a job ?

Any reference from CIC would really be helpful as some employers demand CSQ.

No - you don't need to apply for a CSQ. You are free to work anywhere.

Thanks for the response. That was my understanding based on a lot of forums and friends. But an employer in QC mentioned that they will not be able to consider my profile without CSQ.
Is there a official CIC link that would clarify that Federal PR can work in Montreal without a CSQ ?
