Nio one really knows!! But ppl speculate that if an immig officer is accessing your file, the address disappears...therefore it's a good to keep a close eye.

Also about monitoring eCAS i encountered this site few years ago and thought i should share. It was developed by a guy, Carroll, from Hamilton, ON while he was waiting for immigration papers. He built a system that captures every moves on the File number and email the applicant automatically. So, you wont need to check constantly This is the e-CAS Tracker system at https://ecas.carroll.org.uk We can now see the details of the application on e-CAS as it emails the Latest update for free.

@ittech, BD means bank draft,. contact the buffalo visa office, ask them what it wrong with the payment, and if your file processing will be delayed.

la difference est que tu n'auras plus besoin de conculter ton eCAS sur le CIC. apres chaque update du CIC, tu recevras une notification dans ton email automatiquement.
Ton adresse a -t-il disparu aussi de ton e-cas?

yes, it works beautifully. I receive an email everytimes my address disappears/ whenever my file gets updated. At first, i didn t trusted Carroll site so i kept checking eCAS. But, i mean whats the point of doing so when you can just see the info in ur email.

Any new updates to share... I sent a second email to Seattle earlier. Wont keep sending those emails weekly!!! till i get an answer even though i paid for the right to know. Subinense hope u're still hang there. I think i need to resign to my dream of of doing landing formalities on the day i first came. 8 business days is just sooo short, too short. snifffffff

chaque fois qu'il y a une modification (changement ou disparition/apparition d'adresse par ex. ou bien ajout d'un détail au profil comme Medical reçu, Dossier transferé, Dossier en traitement) depuis xx Tracker nous le dira.

I meant unless you got the file, you will need to start timeline from scratch. Normally, they dont keep your application documents if somethg is missing. If someone forget a signature, a date... on one form or adding a document req'd in their checklist, Visa Offices will send everything back.
Now once they cash your money, it means File was created. If Bank Draft (BD) wasn't cashed and full application returned you will start from day 1 when you resubmit.

i dont think they will create an empty file for you if the mistake is not coming from them. but to double check my point plz email them asap, cheers

Good to be back! my last post on this forum dated March 31,2011. I was very frustrated and also focused on my graduate program wich I finished yesterday!
The good news to encourage all of you who are still waiting, is that Buffalo surprised me this morning with a nice email requesting my passport for stamping.
I am so happy!

Here is my timeline

Application filed : 08/23/2010
Buffalo started processing on 01/13/2011
AOR+Medical Request: 01/24/2011
Medical done: 01/28/2011
Medical sent: 02/03/2011
No initial assessment letter
Passport request : 08/11/2011

smthg funny happened... i was just thinking of givin up my dream and wanted send a message to everyone here. Then i clicked in my email first, and here is a message from eCAS Tracker. So, i went back to ecas to see and now my address is back in place.

I am just hoping for a miracle within the next 8 days to receive PPR, send passport and have it back, and then do my landin... somethin tells me i need ro keep hopin and trustin God, but when i see there's just few days to Aug 23 i get discourage.

God hear my cry and if my dream is wicked or selfish then dont let it happen. If it is not the time for me then i'll pass and wait my turn but plz have ur name glorified thru me! sniffff
