Hello Everyone !!

I am in the same boat, got my CSQ in montreal after an interview Sept 24, 2010. And now I have completed my file but waiting on my FBI clearance from USA.

Did you guys send FBI a prepaid post envelope ? we cannot do that from Canada. any suggestions ?

If i send my file to Buffalo without FBI clearance, as I have clearance from my native country already in hand, is that ok ?

Any suggestion would be helpful.

Many Thanks in advance

ciao

You do not need to send prepaid post envelope for the FBI.
We sent our application without my fbi police clearance, because I have been through this since last April and they keep returning my request due to low character visibility or so. Last time I sent to the FBI about 5 or 7 different fingerprint cards and I hope they can finally figure it out. Anyways, I had police clearance certificate done by the FBI last december, so I sent it to CIC just in case, because I have no idea when my fingerprints will turn back to me successfully ;D

Hey people!~
I got an email yesterday from Detroit where my file was transferred to. They are ready to issue my visa and are kindly asking me to send them my passport! Very happy!
wishing you all good luck, the feeling is great!

Congrats florida. I hope this will open the door for the rest of us.

I told you, I knew it! Yeeeeeeee! See, there was no need to freak out everytime! I told you you will have a Canadian New Year! Best of luck, my dear!!! ;) ;) ;)

Email received notifying that case was transferred to the Los Angeles office 28 September.

I have read a lot of hearsay about what it means to have a file sent to a consulate but wanted to know if anyone else out there has had their file sent to the LA office? If so, does anyone know what that could mean in terms of processing time? My e-Cas only indicates that my file is both "In Process" and has been sent to the Los Angeles office as of last week.

Always nice to hear from others who are also in a perpetual state of impatience!
Hey Mtl_guy, I dont mean to scare you but I thought LA office is the only consulate that doesn't deal with Immigration. So, am quite surprised to see this
