Not necessarily.
Maybe just that more french language "first" officers are working than english?

Received certificate on Thursday. Got the passport on Friday. Urgent passport processing .Applied at 8 am, passport picked up at 2:30pm Vancouver BC.

Hi,

I have the same problem with Montréal office as many of my friends who applied from Montreal.
In the other hand my friends who applied from different provinces with similar timeline are already citizens.

I did mine yesterday, started and 8:30 am and we were done before 10 am. it was pretty fast and straightforward.

Visa interview is for US GC ( got this dqte after 3 yrs of waiting) and NOT for visitor visa. If interview was for visitor visa we could have just cancelled it as once you become canadian citizen, we dont need visitor visa. We have have one week in between both dates so at this point we will probably postpond the oath date knowing there might be consequences and risk.

We are yet to receive email invitation for oath ceremony though althought date has been updated in tracker.

Frustrated and exhausted. I made travel plans. I hope they don't send any new requests or the oath invite until I return.

Sigh, this is now taking over a year. Test completed on November 2nd 2022, and honestly I totally forgot about it as I was busy with life. Then I checked today, and only had a ghost update on December 16th. L, PP, P still In Progress.
