Your case is a lot similar to mine. My brother and sister-in-law are Canadian PR holders. My mother is a citizen of Canada. & here I am with my husband, both just trying our best to wait patiently.
I would say buying a car may not be a good idea (unless you have plans about what to do with it once you get PPR), but consider going for having a child. The way the files are being processed now, maybe within six months we will get a response (and if we get lucky, then even earlier). If that happens, your wife can give birth in Canada. Better not to delay some things in life for IRCC!
Whats your COR? Feels good to have someone who Shares the same feelings.

Yeah, it's weird how we're almost in the same situation. I can understand how you must be feeling!
We're not that different in terms of culture either. I am from Bangladesh.
It just feels weird that our parents are packing for canada, buying stuff for our siblings and discussion in my house is around canada.
So its hard to forget about our on going process.
Tough time.
Outland PPR thread has someone from 4th feb with PPR.
So lets hope something for us as well.

I know... my mother is currently with us and she will be going back to Canada soon.
I don't understand how exactly IRCC is prioritizing files, but at least they are processing at a faster rate than before.
Don't worry, soon I hope we will be packing our bags too :). Stay positive!

Just saw on outlander thread. someone from jan'2020 (FSWO), got approved yesterday. If they are still processing applications from 2020, what is going to happen with us?

CRS calculator on cic website asks,"how many total yeara of foreign work experience do you have outside Canada. It should be in the last ten years AND in only 1noc (0 A or B) What does this mean? If we go by this, then we cannot accumilate work experience in different NOCs. Everyone on this forum has said that experience can be accumulated, but can anyone please explain what this actually means in Crs calculator. I wouldn't hv bothered, had it been in regards to fsw calculator. Has anyone got their "eligibility passed" and has used multiple valid Nocs in crs?

Every one of us are sailing in the same boot.
Buy a house or not buy a house?
Buy a car or not to buy a car?
Even having a child at this moment is fearful, thinking that this would delay the process.
It feels lately everyone of us are losing energy to hope anything positive

I don't know if this isn't visible or...

I got my PPR on Wednesday, the 2nd of this month. My AoR is February 5th, 2021.

I know how frustrating this experience was at some point but it's finally over.

I'm certain it will be same for the rest of us soon.

Keep the faith! I'll be rooting for y'all.

@legalfalcon, thank you for all the guidance you provide. May kindness always surround you.
