I am applying for my spouse who resides in US on student visa. His student visa is expired in 2018 dec. Since he was done with his opt he now took admission in other school. And he now is studying based on the I-20 given by his new school. Can we submit I-20 as proof for the visa while applying for Canadian PR?

Please advise what's the next step from now .
