As an update, they DID send the COPR letter to my address in Canada, despite the fact that we have never told CIC that my husband was in Canada. It took the letter 13 days to get to Canada but if they had sent it to the correct address to my husband it would have likely been to us the next day since he lives in London and it was mailed from London.

Now, because I am visiting my husband in the UK, we had to get my parents to courier it back to us in London (at a cost of $87!!) so that we will have it when my husband immigrates on January 13th.

CIC stresses telling them about address changes but then they can't seem to process them correctly when they are notified (they messed my address change up) and they change addresses for people that never asked for them! Very frustrating but at least it is almost over now.
Wow that's sketchy. My old address is in the UK and we don't know who lives there now, luckily you had your parents there. I hope they don't mess up my new address oof

You can imagine any scenario with IRCC...They wonder why we are that worried after that.. they keep sending signals of confusion all the time.

Yes, we were very fortunate my parents could get it to send back to us.

My advice would be to check the address on the COPR letter that you get by email. If that shows your old address then I would contact them as soon as you see that to get it corrected to ensure they are clear about which address you want it mailed to.

We didn't contact them when we saw it because at least the address they had on the COPR letter was one where we knew we could receive it and we didn't want to contact them to change it and possibly have it delayed further. But if we thought it was going to have gone to an address where we couldn't get it from then we would have contacted them immediately.

On my husband's eCAS account it shows his home address in Canada and his mailing address in London (which is the correct address) BUT they clearly didn't mail the letter to his mailing address.

I just don't get that they put super importance for us to do NO mistakes on things like that , but they do a bunch on their side

On my PAs ecas it only has her home address listed but no mailing address. I updated it 3 weeks back and nothing changed, so last night I did a webform telling them the mailing address. I'll probably call and check too

Seems complicated to do data entry there... at least just looked it's the same address for PA's mailing and home. phew lol

Yes, I'd give them a call to check too. When I changed my address I checked eCAS and it only showed my home address which was changed correctly so I thought there was no problem...until we got the AOR2 and the address they had on the letter was my old address! When they finally did correct it then it showed a home AND a mailing address.
