Eligibility recommended pass means the case analyst checked thoroughly whether you are eligible for the program you applied for or not. He finds you eligible and recommends the Visa officer accept his decision. Now the VO/Immigration officer has to accept the CAs recommendation and deem your eligibility as pass. I wish I could tell you how long this will take, but unfortunately I've no idea. I've been stuck in recommended pass for few weeks now. Once its recommended pass, most of the time it get accepted by the VO. So, you can relax about your eligibility.

Security checks mainly happens internally and sometimes the process is not even under the control of IRCC. So they might not disclose anything about it. Even though it says not started, It could be going on in the back ground. Security check will take few days to weeks to finish, once they start the final assessment.

once these two steps are complete, you will get your final decision. It might happen anytime, but no one can predict when that time will be. The time taken for each applicant at different stages are different, so making a a prediction is near impossible.

Lets hope everything gets done without further delay, that is all we can do
Thank you for your reply. Hope good news comes to all of us soon now.

PNP A11.2 check are done at early stage. Order GCMS now
Its not guaranteed that A11.2 check will be done early, some are done early and some gets delayed. Even now there are FSW-O Applications getting approved with in 60 days and there are PNP applications getting delayed. There are no rules to be followed in this thing

If things were like that, then I would have got my PPR 100 days ago, that's when couple off applicants with my AOR got theirs. Even last week another applicant with same AOR got PPR. Anyway, I hope you are right, that means I will be getting it tomorrow of day after :D

@LuckyCent I ordered GCMS notes yesterday from gcmsbuddy.com.
they said it will take approx 35 days.
I got the same status as yours from MP office. Any idea how long does the security checks take? I raised a CSE and they said that "before Oct 5th if you don't get any decision please do not hesitate to contact us again". I'm not sure if I can count on that response.

Hello guys....

My present status as per Ralph’s email on 29/08/2019 is :

MEDICALS - Passed
ELIGIBILITY IN PROGRESS - Recommended Pass
CRIMINALITY - Passed
SECURITY - Not started
INFO SHARING - Complete

My AOR is 16/02/2019 and VO - CPC OTTAWA and we are a family of 3 (me {primary applicant}, my wife n my daughter).

Today I just got an email reply for my first CSE webform request sent by me last week. I am not sure if this is a standard reply OR Is it really case specific.

My question is - DO THEY ALWAYS MENTION “YOUR BACKGROUND VERIFICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY IN PROCESS” in general in the format or only when they are really processing the files ????

Sorry, may be I am trying to read through the lines.

I am copy pasting the entire reply. Please have a look and share your valuable insights as to whether it is a Generic reply or a CSE reply.

Good day xxxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your application for permanent residence:

· Your application was received via your account on February 16, 2019.

  • The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,
    • you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.

· Your application is currently being processed at the Case Processing Centre (CPC-O) in Ottawa, Ontario.

  • The background verifications are currently in process.

  • The medical examination results on file are valid for you and your spouse and your dependent child.
IRCC is committed to reviewing most permanent resident applications submitted online within a 6-month time frame. Although the processing times may vary, rest assured that we are making the necessary efforts to finalize your application within established processing times.

Furthermore, any person applying for permanent resident status (except live-in caregivers) and their family members*, if applicable, must have a medical exam done by a Panel Physician authorized by IRCC before sending their application.

Your medical exam results are valid for 12 months only. If you do not come to Canada as a permanent resident within that time, you may need to have another exam.

For more information, please visit our website.

*A family member is a spouse, common-law partner, dependent child or dependent child of a dependent child.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:

Sincerely,
Xxxxxxx

P.S. - sorry for the long post guys. I think the painful waiting period is taking its toll on me

This is a CSE reply. I have raised a CSE too. And later I contacted IRCC. In the response, they mentioned that the agent who had responded to my query has taken appropriate actions. I don't think this is a generic reply.

They did mention the date. I'm not sure about the status as I contacted them 5 days ago and haven't reached them again. I think I will wait for 2 more months and then contact them again.
