Thanks. Yes I'm FSW-O, UK based. But my VO is London.

Ralph's email is goodale@sasktel.net. I used the standard template email (see page 375 of the January 19 Aor thread). I got a response same day. It seems that the reason I didn't get a response before as I didn't include my DOB as the response specifically mentioned this.

Thank you :) I’m FSW-O, UK as well but my VO is Ottawa. I’ve got a little while until my 6 months is up (20 days)

Ladies and Gent, I am "pleased" to announce I've just joined the "20% of applications taking longer to process" gang.
Be happy that we are special, not a random figure in the mass, we are complex :D :D

Hi

I have this question bothering me about the employment letter and seek your help.
So I have worked In a single company for 4 years and then had to quit as I got married and changed cities. I was sent the appointment letter confirming my salary amount and the salary slips on the company email account. After I quit, I had no access to these salary slips. I also shut the associated bank account.
Now, to submit my details, I have taken on a company letter head ( dated 2 months before I submitted the letter) my salary, my job tittle, and the duration of my work plus job description. With signatures of my immediate boss and company stamp.
Will that be fine or the salary slip is a must? Plus do I need to provide additional supporting documents?
looking forward to your help
Thanks in advance..
The only mandatory document they require is the reference letter with details such as job, duration, weekly hours, salary, job responsibilities etc.
if your letter clearly mentions your salary, then there is no need to include pay slips.

I have one doubt (this seems to be a trend now, every day my brain pops up with new questions)
If your birthday comes after your AOR while waiting for the PPR, will you lose points?

Aor 15th feb
Called up CIC on 6th Aug
Earlier file was at Sydney VO
Now it is shifted to Ottawa
Criminality pass
Eligibility met
Background pass
Security is still not started
Background Pass, But security not started? That's a first, normally BG won't be complete with out passing security since security is a step in the BG check.
Anyways, so only one step to go for you. Hope it gets over soon :)

According to some, yes points do change if you pass your birthday after AOR.
Exemption to section A11.2: candidates whose birthday occurs after they receive an ITA
An applicant may have a birthday after they receive an ITA but before they submit their e-APR. Their change in age may lower their CRS score below the lowest score in the round of invitations. It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2.

When a change in age results in the candidate no longer meeting the MEC or having their recalculated CRS points score fall below the lowest points score in that round of invitations, officers should consider applying the public policy to exempt applicants for permanent residence from certain age-based requirements between invitation to apply and application, based on section A25.2. This consideration can result in an exemption from the refusal of an application under section A11.2.

This public policy also grants an exemption to applicants who may be refused for failing to meet FSWC program requirements when their birthday occurs between the ITA and e-APR.

Hi All,

I am just wondering if I need to inform CIC about moving my funds from my original country and bank account to a new country (where I reside now) with a new bank account? When I applied I had the money for 8 months and submitted my application in Feb 2019. Last month I decided to bring the money from my home country to the UK and save them in a join saving account with my accompanying wife.

Do I need to inform CIC about this move? Although, my application processing time has passed the 6 months now.

I appreciate your advice and support.

Thank you
Omar
