I am also with you. Application sent on 30th Jan and received on Jan 31st. Did not get any emails or able to link yet. Don't know why they are taking so long or if they lost my package Planning to resubmit a new package soon by next week.

call the CIC call centre, have your receipt number ready, they can try to look for your application.

I called the CIC call center on Friday and they could not find any details based on my UCI number and told me that i have to wait more. Tried to call them again but they do not connect to the agents anymore due to high volume of calls.

I had sent my application through Canada post Xpresspost which was delivered on 31st Jan and have a delivery signature on the delivery confirmation. Do not know where did my package go? I checked my email address and postal address which appears to be correct.

If they have to return the package, how long does they take to do so?

Hi, I applied for my wife on 31 Jan 2017. My application was received on Feb 01,2017, got a message in my cell phone as well from IRCC mail room for the same. It's almost 4 week, but
no AOR 1 yet, not even they returned the application. I put my mailing address in her application, but used her residential address. Is there any chance,they can return my application as I have used my mailing address? If they return, how many days it will take to get it back in Edmonton,AB. Thanks.

Hi , I did the same mistake. Mine was also received on Feb 01, 2017. I received it back on Feb 24,2017. I had my mailing address Toronto,ON. They sent it back saying I should fill up Use of Representative form in that case.

Try calling them up again and give them your Receipt Number instead.

I called them up yesterday and they told me that the reason I don't have an AOR yet is because the office is still working on January applicants ( : and they haven't started working on my file yet. I will try calling them up again sometime this week to see if anything has changed.

Tried calling the CIC call center 1888-242-2100 now but they are no longer transferring the call to any of the agents due to a high volume of calls This is bad.

I mailed my application on Feb 13th and was recieved in the mail room on February 16. Up to now February 28 I still dont have an AOR, should I be worried or should I be patient. Thanks for the advises

Don't be worried. Our application was received Feb 3 and AOR1 arrived Feb 25.

They received our application on the 8th. Didnt receive any emails yet, not able to link my acct

I think someone else said that you can also call this number:

1-613-944-4000.

I think the average wait time for them to open your file now has increased due to higher volume of applications now.

My app was received Jan 25 and the didn't open my file until Feb 22 (AOR came Feb 23), so it was 4 weeks I had to wait. I think someone else said average time to get AOR1 now is 4 to 6 weeks now. If you are lucky, you might get it earlier as is the case for a few people.

But don't be surprised if it's later rather than sooner now.

I also suspect average wait time for SA will increase now also.

But it really depends which IO is processing your app.
