So the meeting with the MP's aid.

What can I say?

To be honest, I dunno.

Mixed feelings.

Says she wants to help, that she always keeps in touch... but also gives me a million reasons why the proof of relationships people submit is no good... Repeatedly saying people do not understand what to submit. WTF? Too much unit testing on her part. ROFL!

I think she was taking out her frustration and unloading on me. What can I say? I'm the type that listens.. :P

I don't have worries about that, what I'm really worried about is the safe arrival of the application in Manila and the follow up process.

So I also told her about what you guys mentioned previously. The file being locked and not losing its turn in the queue. Well... the genius that she is, she said "NOPE!" and was aggressively shaking her head. The "8 months" process starts when they receive the application. So this was a very good one month WASTED.

:\ Fail politicians. Fail immigration. :|

I submitted my application to CPC-M for outland sponsorship on Feb 7, 2012. It was rec'd (according to Canada Post) on Feb 8, 2012. I have still heard NOTHING from CIC. No AOR, no sponsorship approval. They can't locate my file when I call them and they have sent a request to CPC-M to look for it. Now I'm told I have to wait a month for a response! Meanwhile it seems to me like everyone else has their sponsorship approval already and the max waiting time was about 117 days. I've been waiting 147 days!! My application is almost certainly lost.

Thanks CIC! That was only ALL our personal info and $600 worth of documents! I am writing to my MP. The crappy part is that it's such a pain for me to call CIC as I'm not in Canada so I have to call a friend and have them conference call me in and 90% of the time, CIC hangs up on me because their call volume is too high! Arg!! >:(

hi canukiwi, I'm sorry about your situation, what a horrible feeling. Let's hope CIC finds your application. There's an application called Dell Voice that my wife found, she's in Mexico and registered as a canadian account and is able to call CIC for free. There's a PC version u can download, I called CIC yesterday and dialed 10 times in a row and finally got through, to skip all the messages just press 1-2-0.

Max is not 117. I waited 140 for mine. Many people went over 117, and I think 147 is still alright.
$600? I paid $1100. Maybe they're hanging on to it because you didn't pay the right amount?
Good luck with your application. I think you're still better off than having your application sent to the "wrong VO" if that is not your problem... Take care!

funny that she would complain about the "wrong proof of relationship" maybe if they didn't just leave it as such an open "On a separate sheet of paper, provide any additional details of your current relationship that you believe would help to prove your relationship is genuine and continuing." then people would understand what they wanted. It was so hard to decide what to put in for our proof... Did they want how our relationship started or how we keep it going? I was like do they want photo's of the box of cereal that my kids dumped on my floor after a very long day with me home with them and then one of my sweet husband vacuuming it up because I'm just beyond done with our little ones? or are they looking for big trips that we have taken... Because when you have three kids in less than 4 years there aren't many trips!

That sucks about the back on the line thing!! I feel for you! We are still waiting around her for stage one and I hate that we are at least a month behind also!

My one toddler keeps me busy enough, I can't imagine 3. But those 3 will prove your marriage is legit. Sweet about your husband and the cereal.
