I noticed my address has gone from ecas. I know people have spoken about it before but I wonder why it does that? All I have showing on my ecas is 'application received'. I don't know if they're working on it or not.

The hardest thing for me was also getting the police checks, I had to get one from Australia and one from the UK. Although, the medical wasn't a fun time either. I was so stressed out with the application process that by the time I got to the doctor (with a toddler in tow) that I burst into tears in the nurses office! I was so happy when I posted that application off.

hi feb people, i need help in doing the table.. i hope there's one of you than can update and post it. i'm afraid i won't be able to do the task because we already have a new baby in the house which i will be in charge plus my work. for that one kind and helpful person, please let me know and i'll give you the code. thanks! BTW, my e-cas says my application was received in VO on april 12th. ;D

im thinking of kewjoe, since he's the one who made the code.. i sent him a message a week ago but it seems he's also busy.. and i suppose you guys are waiting for the updated table so i decided to ask for help.thanks guys..

I can do it, if Kewjoe is busy also. I'm not terribly busy at the moment, I'm job hunting, LOL.

I got the message. I'll have a look at the code, make sure I understand, and post a status update tomorrow morning. My brain doesn't work very well this close to 11 p.m. :P

How Can I find that Local VO received my application or not??
Its already sent by mississauga office on april 08

@ raman1127 - ecas usually updates in a couple of weeks once the file has been received - but I am not sure how you can confirm 100% whether the hard copy of your file has arrived.

This thread has been sooooo quiet... what are you all planning for the long weekend?

Spring cleaning!!!!! how exciting eh!!!! :P

Taking hubby to the airport today. Then some quiet time for the long weekend, and more job-hunting next week. My mother wants me to come home for the long weekend, but I've been home twice in the past two weeks with hubby, I don't feel like going back so soon without him, I'm going to be moping and I'd rather not inflict myself on her in that mood.

Yeah looks like everyone is just busy with waiting to hear back from their respective Visa Office, it really is very quiet here.

I have few things going on, I hope the VFS is open on Saturday cuz I want to apply for the OCI, I've got everything pre-pared, just have to make that stupid demand draft of $275USD, I'm glad CAD$ is above 5 cents than US$, so I think I will just end up paying SAME amount even in Canadian$ cuz of exchange rate fee....

I will be doing that and its better because OCI is valid for (life) and If I were to make 4 trips I have already covered the cost of 4 visas. Also no restrictions on how many times you visit india in a single month. With current tourist visa there is a limit of 2 months gap between each trip... that SUCKS!!!!!!

@ DNT2003 Getting an OCI is good.. especially if you plan on visiting India frequently. I hope everything works out with that!

I heard that there's something new instead of the OCI (can't remember what its called) there's supposed to be some benefit to it - I think there's no renewal. Have you heard of that?

There used to be PIO which was / and still valid for 15 years and is actually more expensive (but its good for spouse of someone who is / was INDIAN)

The OCI is something that if you are Indian, you can apply and is valid for life.

I'm in the same boat as you CharlieD10, my hubby is away working on site so it's alone for Easter for me. I suppose it's pointless to check ecas over the holiday break but I just can't help myself! :D
