OMG am kinda worried too because we've been waiting for our ecas also. Its been a week u should have something from the mail now. Just wait until friday and call cic. i wonder if all the approved sponsors here has ecas?

Don't worry..my ECAS only says ' Application revd on XX' ..no other updates..but when I called the automated line it says..sponsorship undertaking already forwarded to my husband's visa office ( I don't see any reason for them to find me ineligible to sponsor...I was only worried that I had all the doc's in order)
So...ECAS might just be screwed up...some people can't even access ECAS even after they get the apprvl letter...do not worry!!!!

Yes in Delhi and its the same charge, Rs 300.

For those of you who are worried abt ECAS updates:
I just called the CIC call cntre to confirm things and I was told ECAS 'could' take up to 15 days to get updated.
Sounds funny alright that it might take that long..but atleast helps not to worry abt immediate status changes!!

hey Brin, are you calling from within canada or from ND because I sure cant call from USA as you have to be in canada to get through, just wanted to make sure if there any other contact number too

lol...No ..there is no other contact #. I am calling from Toronto. it's a 1-888 #. So, I don't think it's going to make any diff if u call frm Canada or USA. I guess I just got lucky to get through. Sometimes it says lines are busy and to call back..u just hv to dial back to back.

Ok, thats what I thought. Actually the 1888 no. can be dialed from Canada only, you cannot get through from outside Canada.

Yes the 888 number can only be reached from within Canada but tt is possible to reach the CIC call centre from outside Canada via Foreign Affairs Canada:

+1 613 944 4000 (for an agent: options 1,2,1,2,1 ... then 0 to skip the message)

I agree there are 1-888/877/866 toll free numbers in Canada too.

My wife called them and they said they did not had any details of our application in the system. They asked her then tracking number for the registered mail in which we sent the documents. She gave them the number and they raised an investigation request to check the whereabouts of our application. They said that they have 30 days to respond back to us and if they do not find our application then we will have to apply again. This sucks big time......... we will be delayed back by three months in this whole process...

Thank u so much for calling cic brin! I know its a bit early yet but i can't helped to but get paranoid especially if am reading some problems like wating4it. It just sucks when all our documents were lost! Makes me a bit wortied, coz when i track our papers thru canada post it only says successfully delivered and NO signature at all. I wonder because it a P.O box address?

Did you request for signature when u mailed it? if you did they are supposed to get it signed. I had a signature when mine was delivered.
I did ask the lady at the post office abt the PO BOX, and she told me it's a bulk delivery and someone at the location will sign for all the pakages they recvd.

I checked my email after work, I saw the notification from ecas tracker (https://ecas.carroll.org.uk), that there had been some changes, I was excited thinking it might be an update to my file, stating that it had been trsf to New Delhi . When I was back home, i logged in to the site, and what I am looking at was that they have updated and entered my mailing/residential address instead.i m like WTH....... huh !!

Anyways anyone out there got any good news or updates !!
ummm.....ND Vo's might have finished playing "Holi" by now eh.......den wats stopping them to update the status.... arghh !!

Hi Everyone...

I noticed a few people also had applications returned...I am starting to get a little nervous now.

We originally sent out documents on February 9th and we got an update online saying that they reviewed the package and sent it back on March 9th. Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks and we still have not yet received our package back in the mail. I called the contact-centre and someone advised that we had missed some signatures in our application.

I am just wondering if anyone has received a returned application yet. I live in the GTA...I really did not think it would take this long to receive it back...any insight would really be appreciated as I would like to know when I can expect it back! Please help!!

So far as I know from posts in this thread, none of the returned packages have been received yet.
