FEBRUARY 2011 applicants here!!

what is ppr? my ecas only says "app received on April 1, 2011"....it doesn't even say that its in the overseas VO.....I thought ecas specified the VO it went to?

So I've been approved, received an approval letter and the file has apparently been transferred to Ankara VO in Turkey.....any idea where I'm at?

ECAS doesn't show which VO the application went to...It is understood that when ECAS is updated with 'application recvd' it is received in the VO.
PPR is passport req.. you will not see any details abt ur PPR on ECAS
Looks like ur applcatn is already in Ankara...so relaxx :)

PPR = passport request. You should receive a letter from Ankara called an AOR = acknowledgement of receipt. It is a form letter, basically stating that the file has been received, tells you how long the case might take to process, and what to do if they request any additional information from you.

I am not sure if Turkey is one of the countries where they request the passport early in the process (i.e. before decision to approve or deny), but New Delhi is one of those offices, that is why you are seeing PPRs for applicants in that office already.

Hi Guys, Conrgats to everyone who is moving along in the application process!

Just checked ecas and this is what it says....

We received your application to sponsor XXX XXX on February 24, 2011.

We started processing your application on March 24, 2011.

We sent you a letter on March 24, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We returned your application with a letter on March 24, 2011. You may re-apply or resubmit your application when the information requested is provided. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Stupid question, but does this mean our application package was sent back to us? We haven't recived anything I'm freaking out think I can not be sponsor for my husband!

ps please update my info, file sent feb 23, file recieved feb 24, notice from ecas march 24, waiting for some sort of paperwork and hoping it gets here soon! Thx for your help guys

This is so stressful I just want to be able to sponsor, and have them start working on it, we have an 18 month wait once it gets to the visa office!! YIKES
 
ok I think I am so stupid, just checked ecas it says:
We received xxx xxxxs application for permanent residence on April 4, 2011.
does this mean i can sponsor him?

challenger, Febpr and Brin : congratulations guys!!! and also congratulations to hubby, he received the sponsorship approval today! 4 days after the cic forwarded the letter.. not bad eh? now we're just waiting for the AOR and e-cas to change detais.. good news keep on rolling for us!! ;D and BTW I will update the table next week..

From your earlier post.
We returned your application with a letter on March 24, 2011. You may re-apply or resubmit your application when the information requested is provided. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

They sent the application back to you (missing information), so it appears that it has not been processed at all.

If it is on its way back to you, they have not checked or decided on the the sponsorship part yet.

Where did you send it from?

Based on them returning your application, and the VO receiving the application doesnt mean you were approved for sponsorship. Did you checkmark on the paperwork to withdraw the application or to proceed with the PR application if the sponsorship was denied? If you said to continue, then that is why it has been received at the VO, but without the sponsorship forms being complete and approved, he wont get his PR. Maybe you just forgot to sign somewhere. That usually seems to reason why its sent back.

We received MY WIFE NAME's application for permanent residence on April 5, 2011.

now wating for the PPR :)
