I sent the application via Fedex on February 3, 2011.
Mississauga received app. on February 4, 2011.
Processed, made a decision, and sent letter on March 3, 2011.
Received sponsorship approval letter on March 9, 2011.
PR Application received by Delhi Visa office on March 14, 2011.
(Note that, ECAS did not update this till March 16, 2011.

Sighhhh...patiently waiting for an update about application...everyday...

I got the approval letter from CIC today. Quite surprised!!!

File sent: 8 Feb
File received: 16 Feb
Letter received: 21 Mar

within this time frame, no news from cic, no ecas, no updates!!! even thought my files were lost till I saw the mail from CIC this morning in my mailbox. P.S. Its just ordinary mail. Good luck to you all.

Wow! Awesome news for you bettle! That means you didn't get any ecas updates at all? Kinda confused because most of them here has ecas that u can view your app updates. So if I can't access my ecas within this week, nothing to be worried i guess? :

i was in the same situation ( different dates) but after a few days it updated to say a letter was sent out... i'm sure yours will also do the same and your letter is coming.

i am still waiting for my letter which was sent out on wed.

Did you try calling the automated line? based on prev posts, it might tell you what's going on with the application(like 'applctn sent to your spouse's visa office)

Hi all ! My file was transferred to New Delhi on Feb 28th 2011, I received a letter dated March 10th on March the 18th asking for my Passport and PCC which i have already sent and was delivered to CHC today morning. Would anyone here be able to suggest how long will it take from here now ?

fellow sponsorship applicants i'm really confused/ frustrated!

as i mentioned in an earlier post my ecas status says a letter was sent out last week ( still waiting) so i decided to call a cic agent to see if they'd tell me what the decision was. when i finally got a hold of an agent all he could tell me is that my file was still processing and they'd send me a decision soon! but my ecas says a letter was sent!!

could it really be that ecas says one thing and the cic agent has access to older ( no updated info)?

anyone else have this experience? so frustrated right now!

Apprently CHC ND asks for the Passport as soon as they receive your application. From the other posts it looks like it might take 2wks- 2mnts, depending on your situ(ie: background checks..etc) stay postive...you might just be pleasently surprised!!!

I think my wife had attached additional letters which state her health condition which ain't that well and my new born baby is waiting to see his dad. Does that help in expediting the process in any way ?

i can't use the automated system since a client id # is required and i dont have that! so that's why i tried to talk to an agent.. no use!!

I was confused too as I didn't know what the client ID was...later I dug up my prev records and found it's the number on front of the PR card(8 digits). If you were a born Canadian, you could ask for the Client ID from the call cntr agent...they shld give it to u!

Even now, after I got my ID number from the CIC letter, I still cannot log in!

It took a day after my husband got his client ID for us to be able to access eCAS. And currently his sponsorship is still "in process", we haven't received any further updates since then. Hoping for a change and a letter on approval this week

I'm not sure meateater! But def worth the try.
Don't mean to make you upset...but if your wife sent a letter saying she has health issues and the medicals were ok, it is contradicting! anyway..Don't worry abt it. You hv a baby and I'm pretty sure they would consider that!! Good luck!
