Hi Big Mike...

read your recent posts...mukhang talagang hapit ang timeline nyo.

good luck and sana makahabol kayo sa timelines.

Thanks RHmanalili, actually I already applied for my son's passport and rush NSO birth Certificate and they should be available on the 19th then i'll submit the add'l docs for my newborn then. Hopefully medical will come soon after I sent them the docs. I'll just inform them of the critical expiry of my medical. Good thing i made my medical last october 2010 to force them to issue our visas before the 1 year expiry :D

THanks for the support guys and Congratulations on the updates!

God Bless

hello Shish,

Do not use case specific form online.
use following email : buffalo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

and send email directly.
Best Luck

Hey guys,

Do you think if on web site of VO is said, that they won't reply for inquiries unless is passed time frame given on the web-site... that time frame has been updated (added more months so far) Would they unswer my e-mail or they would just ignore it?

thx for opinion

Hello My friends
After waiting more than a year, passed time with full of frustration,
almost being hopeless,
Requesting CAIPS note twice but hav nt found anything in that
emailing 3 to 4 times but got same answer ... application is pending to review.

Finally i have sent another email to Buffalo VO, and i got reply

"[size=10pt] Your application is in process"[/size]

so wt does it mean , really my application is In process.

God bless Us

shish,

dont be childish.
you will get your turn.
emailing them and asking them about your file's status wont speed up the process.
if you are very tensed, order CAIPS. look at the BF'd date.

Hello guys, I just received my passports with visa. It has been exactly 1 year since I passed my full docs.
I Thank God for perfect timing. My formula: Prayer+PatiencE+perseverance=visa!
Btw, I'm a feb 2010 applicant ;)

My sincere congratulations to you JigJig!
Good luck with landing and getting used to new environment.

So far the reasons for the long waiting (mainly for pre June 2010) I can gather are:

1) The Pre June, 2010 applications are considered as the 2nd priority, while the Post June, 2010 are 1st priority. Because the officials said the Post June, 2010 fit current Canadian labour market needs. [Source from VO's email]
2) Between Feb 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision. The number of the applications is double than they expected and could handle. [Source from VO's email]
3) Training or staff changes in some VOs in 2010, which slowed down the processing time. [Source from general discussions]
4) The general, up to 64-week, waiting period after (2nd) AOR. [Source from VO's email]
5) Reduction in Funding. The Conservative government has announced it intends slashing $4 billion in annual spending from the federal budget, raising fears of further cuts to the immigration system. More than $50 million was slashed this year in settlement services. [Source from thestar.com. Thanks to jnathan & qorax]

add this with your post:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/immigration-costs-canada-billions-fraser-institute-t71911.30.html

In corporate environment, fund cuts always slow things up. I believe that CIC has minimized its resources in BG checks and hence making the delay.

The actual processing time will be much longer than 19 months which is listed on the official web at this moment. My file was transferred to Buffalo in Mar, 2010. 2nd AOR is Sept, 2010. The status is still in Process with RBVO info. So it is 16-month waiting already. Even if I got the MR today, it would take one month to send ME to the VO, and six months for them to process the ME. So the processing time at this moment is at least 22 months. General speaking, 24-month processing time is expected (2 years indeed as some VO's emails mentioned), if I could get MR this month. And remember, the pre June 2010 is 2nd priority. So probably our cases might be actually frozen.
