I got an ITA on December 22nd 2016 and I am in the process of collecting my documents to file my e-APR. I did my Master's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1999-2001. I graduated in December 2001. I came back to India in 2002 and went back to USA to pursue a second Master degree this time in Material Science and Engg at the University of Kentucky in August 2003. I had to discontinue my education due to financial problems. I came back to India again in October 2004. I am in India since then. I came to know from this forum that I need to get PCC from USA also.

1. I wanted to seek guidance on how to apply for the USA PCC. I have some specific questions to ask on the details to be filled in the form and the finger prints.
2. On checking the FBI website I understood it would take 10-14 weeks time. Since my ITA would not be valid till then, I wanted to know on how I can submit my e-APR without the FBI PCC. Since most of you guys must have had the same problem your guidance will be very helpful to me.

Get you Finger prints ASAP , make sure to take atleast 2 copies of finger prints. Follow the instruction and fill out the form. Take a scanned copy of finger prinst, documents ,Credit card detail or Money order, cover letter and photo of sealed envelope, scanned copy of tracking number receipt given by fedex or ups. how ever it is highly impossible to get ur FBI report by march 22nd, so you can right a cover letter and provide the proof tht you have aleady submitted you application for FBI report and CIC will give u extra time for it. So First give your finger prints

They have caught up a lot on their backlogs. Not what it used to be earlier this year. On Dec 9 they were opening packets from oct 20. And jan 10th they were on packets from nov 28. Considering the thanksgiving holidays were there around end of November, I guess it's safe to assume that they process a month's worth of applications per month. I hope things will get faster, now that the end of year holidays are out of the way.

Hi Guys,

I contacted an agency called Real Scan Biometric(http://www.fingerprintexpert.in/fingerprints-for-pcc-mumbai.html). I spoke to a person called Manurash Kaushal( phone: 7021350278). He told me that they can obtain the FBI PCC in 2-3 weeks time if I apply via the Fast mode, which requires a contact address in USA. The charges are Rs.15,500/-. I wanted to check if this is really possible and if the charges are genuine.

FBI site clearly says processing time of 12-14 weeks + mail delivery time.

Also the only way for Non US ciitizens or Green card holders; the only way is send finger prints on paper to FBI. Online (digital) fingerprints is only for US citizens/Green card holders
