Hi guys,

I am new to this forum.

I received a letter from the FBI explaining that my fingerprints were not taken properly. My ITA (received ITA late April) will expire in few days. I am deciding on what to do:

1- Submit the application with a letter of explanation and with a proof of other cards sent to the FBI (will be sent this week)
- My fingerprint card will take more than 60 days to arrive, will cic be ok with that or will they reject the application. If so will they refund the fee? Will this save time in processing my cic application or is it just a way not to lose the ITA (my score is higher than 470)

2- Decline the invitation and wait few weeks before submitting my cic profile again.
- In this case, would declining an ITA have any effect on future applications?

Thank you for the advice!

Your score is higher than 470 which is very good for you. To play very safe it's better to decline ITA and wait for next draw which could occur in coming week, then you will have another 60days in hand to apply and submit application.

There is a little risk if you submit without PCC, either it will get delayed in processing till you submit PCC or you will get rejection depends on Visa Officer, if you want to play with a little risk you can opt for this, Apply now with a LOE explanation

In the end you have to make your own wise decision

Thank you for the advice!

You can go ahead and apply, include a LOE to explain the situation, include the document from FBI that says your prints were rejected and details of the new application; and ask nicely for an extension. CIC understands the issue with FBI, they usually grant an extension if evidences are provided that indicate you tried your best. Submit your application close to your deadline so you can buy yourself some more time in addition to the extra 60 days they will give you, since FBI takes about 3.5months. Make sure you have your prints taken by a professional to avoid future rejection.
I am also waiting for my spouse's FBI and they gave me another 60days after I submitted.

Do not decline your ITA, you never can tell when you will get another. It's only safe to decline if you have a PNP.
Good luck!

Don't decline the ITA....submit your application with a letter of explaination (LOE ) in place of US PCC....attach all the proofs that show that you applied for it and your fingerprints were rejected....get your fringprints done again and send your application to FBI...attach this proof too that you have sent your application again.....

CIC understands that PCC (specially US) takes time....they usually provide 60 days extension to provide the PCC....and this 60 days extension can be more than once provided that you have all the proofs ready to show that you are making all the efforts...

Thank you guys for the replies and help. I am going to decline the ITA and will submit my profile again in few weeks.

I have taken a look at historical data and did some basic trend analysis and this is what I came up with:

Can you specify your model? Have you factored the underlying score distribution? Or have you just used an Autoregressive model ?

I'm curious too and want to look at the model you used for the analysis...!!
Well you can use your model and try to generate last two actual draw results (on June 1, 2016 & June 15, 2016) and compare if it is any close to 483 & 488 respectively... that will definitely wake you up and bring to the real world...!!

PS: I loved the result and wish if its true...

It's not really a model :(, I used the trend function in excel. I started with the frequencies, then the scores and ITA#.

At least I got the date right June 29th :D

Let's see if July 13th is the next draw ;)
