Hello everyone,

We submitted our application in on December 22 and it said our package was received on December 29th. If I am correct, FBI fingerprints expire 3 months after it's issued date correct? Well my FBI clearance expired on December 23rd, should I get my fingerprints done again?

Thank you.

No. CIC has changed to rules and now the FBI IHSR letter is valid...indefinitely (basically).

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.

For the record, fingerprints (themselves) do expire. The FBI must receive them (on the FD-258 card) within 3 months, or they are deemed expired.
The actual letter that you send to CIC, no longer expires after 3 months.
