FBI background check how long?

Hello,

i am one of the lucky one who got invited this feb 13th. Since then i applied for FBI background check the week after. Some people says they got it done in a month but i am still not receiving anything from them. It says it might take up to 15 weeks which is nonsense.
My deadline to submit all the documents is in 60 days or so. I am getting impatient.

For those who went through this, how long did it take for you?
If i am not able to give them the FBI background check within the time, is there any chance to prolong the deadline?
