Hello,

I'm looking for some help from someone who knows how these things work. I know my problem seems trivial compared to many on here but I would really appreciate some help.

I'm a med student in the Uk. I have been accepted onto a four week placment at UBC in september. I have checked on the CIC website and I don't need a visa but I do need the medical exam, this will take over seven weeks apparently. I am handing in my application tomorrow(UBC only accepted me today!)

The problem is that I have to leave the UK in about six weeks for another medical placement in Belize and then straight on to Vancover. I thnik I should be ok to have the exam done before I leave but I'm worred that I will have left for Belize before I get the acceptance.

The question is do I need to have the passed examination paperwork in my hand as I pass imigation at vancover airport? I should have faxed/scanned copies. I can get the orignal completed paperwork forwarded to Canada and my friend will have it waiting for me in the airport. Is there some way she can pass it to me? I dont want to have it posted to belize incase it goes missing.

Thanks in advance for your help x

Everyone's questions are important. The only suggestion I can think of is to call and ASK CIC 1-613-944-4000. Office hours in Eastern Canada are 8am-4pm Mon-Fri. You often have wait, but they tell you how long the wait time will be and it is usually accurate. Perhaps your friend could get the answer on your behalf. Good luck with the exams.
