Father name problem

Read through the entire thread again. What does your ECA report have? Does that match your passport or your educational documents? In my case too my father's name is included on all my documents, so it is like my middle name, in which case it might look like you have two names. So I think it should be you who gets the affidavit. Also, I think you should not say yes to the question: have you changed your name or had a different name? Because that would mean you have gone through the name change process intentionally and have the documents to prove that. This on the other hand is like clarifying the unintentional mistake? That's my take on it.

I have ECA pending as well because I know we have to include name that has in passport and I have to create the same affidavit for ECA as well. And in IELTS as well we have to provide the names that are on passport And I want to provide my passport name to avoid further complications. But the problem lies just in my educational docs.

And as far as my name is concern I use 2 names first name xxxxx and last name xxxxx I dont use any middle name and i dont use my father's name in my full name.

My father's name is always mentioned in father's name column either it is for passport or Id card or educational documents

Is it feasible for your father to get a one and the same person affidavit??

He can get affidavit but I have to use it with my documents so I have to had some role in this affidavit as well or not? How can his affidavit can work in with me? How can it work like my father states his name and his fathers name and say that i am the one and same person? Cant I make an affidavit stating my name and my father's name in it and tell that this is only spelling variation in my father's name in some document.

As you mentioned on your later post how can your father state that my name mentioned on his documents are wrong? Shouldn't it be you who states that my father's name is incorrectly spelled on my educational documents? And attach your father's passport (and your birth certificate if you have one) as proof that?

I dont want to attach these things because it can get complicated the reason i have mentioned in this thread. I dont want to kick in my father's passport in my case.

Because as I told before in my father's passport his name spelling is same as in my educational docs. But in my passport my father's name is spelled differently than his passport. And I dont want to correct my name as it is a loong process and hectic and kind of a legal issues related with it. For now I am applying for immigration not my father so I dont want to show his anything because IRCC will not care what my father's passport show.

If I go for name correction i have to make 2-3 affidavits then advertize my name correction in newspapers than provide my birth certificates etc etc than finally I have to mention all these things to IRCC. So why do all these things when your matter resolves with One affidavit? But I am not sure who will make it me or my father thats confusing and the replies i am getting are same some says I can make it some says my father has to make it.

Fatani I see your problem, especially because the name is different on your passport and his passport. And sometimes giving too much documentation can invite troubles too. Try getting a simple affidavit in which you just include the different spellings that appear on all the documents. I wish you all the best with your application.

fatani - from what i have understood so far, there is no clear cut answer to your query, its quite unique and not something which we come across daily... i think ultimately you have to decide whats the best course of action... take a chance i guess...
