Faster time in processing the PR renewal

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if there is anyway to make the PR renwal process faster. My husband wants to renew it and four months is a lot as he has to visit his family. Is there an option to make it faster ?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Even if you can't get the PR card in time, your husband can still travel abroad. Depending on how long he will be with his family (and assuming he meets the residency obligation) he can also apply for a PRTD at the visa office responsible for the country he is in.

It's an extra expense, but it will allow him to travel back to Canada when granted.
