Hi There

Can I sponsor my wife even If I am outside canada?
As in, I get PR, I land and get the PR formalities done, go back to my country and from there file an application for sponsoring my wife and children?

is this possible or do I need to be in Canada to sponsor my wife?

Yoi can sponsor as a pr but you muat be resident in canada for the duration of the application.

Only canadian citizens can sponsor a spouse living outside canada.

No - you can't.

If you are already married and have not received your PR yet, why don't you simply add them as accompanying? That way you would both get PR at the same time.

CRS. with my wife i get 395. without her accompanying me, i get 413.
Interesting question.I suppose you must include your wife because your married. But I am 100% sure.

And as of today 413 points are also not enough.

The OP MUST declare his wife and either include her in his PR application (best plan), or at least list her as a non-accompanying spouse and then sponsor her later (not the best plan). Either way, she will need to have the immigration medical exam before he lands as a PR.
