Hello, helpful peeps.
My husband is first generation born abroad to a Canadian parent. He received his proof of citizenship last year.
We have been married 7 years and have 2 children together. Since they are second generation born abroad, they do not receive automatic Canadian citizenship. We all have UK citizenship. Is there a way for the children and me to get Canadian citizenship while the whole family is still living abroad?
The immigration website only seems to have two options - sponsor living in Canada sponsoring family living outside Canada and sponsor living in Canada with family already in Canada. How about sponsor living outside Canada with family, so we can all get our documents in order before heading over?
Thanks.
