My fiance and I have been together for nearly 5 years now consistently, but only long distance. :/
I just turned 19, literally 3 days ago, and he is going to be 22 this December (Figured I should add that?) and obviously enough after five years of a wonderful relationship we desperately want to live together in Canada.
My fiance, Jeremie, is a natural born citizen in Montreal, Quebec and I live in the USA. We are currently trying to figure out the best and most efficient way for us to be able to live together. Throughout our relationship we often would save up to spend a week or two together one or twice a year, and last year we managed to spend 2 months together in Montreal. I absolutely fell in love with the city itself, let alone the extended period of being able to live with him for the few months.
We've attempted to check online for the Sponsorship or even Visas and all we manage to find is very vague information or "DO NOT DO THIS" everywhere.
It's gotten really confusing at this point.
I was wondering and would be grateful for absolutely any input on where to start.
I'm aware that Montreal is a French speaking city and that I should really learn French (Boy, is it hard to learn from a book.) but I have no idea if/how to get accepted at this point as a Visa or if he could be a sponsor.
He lives on his own and makes a decent amount of money. The problem is, being as young as I am, I haven't had much experience in full time work let alone much that would get my points up.
Any help would be appreciated! Even if you send me to a different part of this form.
