In my e-APR it asks for "Family Member Proof of Status" and "Proof of Relationship".
I have an Aunt in Canada who has PR card. Do I enter her details in Both sections?

I'm planning to put the following under each section.

"Family Member Proof of Status"
1. Aunt's Canada PR copy
2. Aunt's Bank Statement which has address

"Proof of Relationship"
1. Aunt's Birth Certificate and Passport copy
2. My Dad's BC and PP copy to prove that both her's and his parents are same.

Is this what really goes under each section?

The help says this.....
Document: Family Member Proof of Status

You must provide a copy of your family member’s Canadian Citizenship or Canadian immigration status document (e.g. Canadian passport, Permanent Resident Card, Study Permit, or Work Permit). Please provide a copy of both sides of the document.

Document: Proof of Relationship

You must provide proof of your relationship with your host or family member. This can include:

a marriage certificate
Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM5409)
a birth certificate
an official document naming you as a parent
a copy of the inside back cover of the inviter’s passport showing the inviter’s parents, if applicable

This seems right to me.

Thanks Istari for the help.

But how will one know when they read "Proof of Relationship" to be "relative in Canada" OR "proof of relation between my wife/kids and I"?

So I wanted to be sure. Description is not clear either.

The description is clear: "host or family member" so it refers to your relative (or spouse but not in your case) in Canada.

you can write an explanation letter, along with that include the proof of relationship and status.

Hi Friends,

Need quick advise on "Family Member Proof of Status" and "Proof of Relationship" documents upload option.

I got an ITA under CEC category and I had mentioned that my brother is PR and living in Winnipeg in family members option.

So now during documents upload, there are two fields:

"Family Member Proof of Status" and "Proof of Relationship in" e-APR

But question is that, do I really need to mention that my brother is PR of Canada and resides in Manitoba under CEC ITA?

Or is it okay to say NO as an answer of question "Do you have any relatives in Canada as PR or Citizen?"

Please suggest as I have only this confusion about submitting application

Thanks,

You HAVE a family member with PR status in Canada so say YES. They can easily check this then deny your visa and charge you with misrepresentation. For proof you just have to upload a copy of his PR card and proof he's your family member, a bit certificate with the same parents names? It's not a difficult question!!

Hi,

I am from India. My elder brother is a PR in Canada.

In order to provide documents as proof of his relationship with me, I am planning to submit following documents as part of e-APR:
a) My Birth Certificate and his Birth Certificate
b) My Passport and his Passport

Do I also need to submit copies of my parent's passport for this purpose.

No, as long as your parents' names are on both your birth certificates, you actually don't need to submit anything other than the birth certificates.
